Mid-range accommodation on the ‘mainland’, a short walk from the restaurant, comprises two 4.5 x 3.5 metre safari tents, one double and one twin-bedded, with three-quarter beds. All beds are fitted with mosquito nets.
Although very affordable, the Riverside rooms are not short on comfort. Each tent contains a dressing table, bedside tables, bag rack and, on the wide, open deck to the front, two cane armchairs and coffee table. As with the Island tents, extra single beds can be provided for children, although we recommend no more than one extra bed per tent. Lighting is provided by a mixture of solar lamps, paraffin lamps and candles.
Riverside tents are en-suite, with open-air but very private bathrooms to the rear.
With views of the river and tall riverine trees shading the decks, Riverside tents provide very comfortable accommodation at moderate prices.
